The Challenge for US
What are we going to do to improve learning opportunities for students???
218 Students Dropped Out of Harnett County High Schools in 2013-14
If we do nothing, what are the consequences for the students???
Economic Trend: More likely to face unemployment
Social Trend: More likely to be incarcerated
Educational Trend: More likely to have children that drop out also
What are we going to do to change this?

There are many names for an Intervention Period such as Smart Lunch, Power Block and even Team Time. Western Harnett High School has chosen the word SOAR - Student Opportunities and Remediation for our Intervention Period.
